It was only a couple of months ago that Kansas City were looking dead and buried at the bottom of the Eastern conference, now they head to the play offs full of confidence following an impressive 3-1 away win against New England Revolution. Kansas City head coach Curt Onalfo was obviously pleased after the game: "It was another opportunity for all 11 of our players to continue to get galvanized and realize how they have to move on both sides of the ball, staying disciplined and grinding out a result on the road. That's what we take from it.
"But it didn't have a whole lot of meaning in the game for (New England) and where they stood in the standings. We're just happy to have gotten three points and end the season on a good note as we go into the playoffs."
Kansas City face Supporters Shield winners Columbus Crew next week in the two leg Eastern conference semi final.
