Kurt Zouma has asserted Stoke City have their destiny in their own hands.
The Potters are second bottom and two points from safety following their 1-1 draw with Brighton on Saturday.
The defender said: "The way we've played I think we've deserved better (under Paul Lambert) but we are in a relegation battle and we need wins. Let's get it right.
"We will take it all game by game. We will go into each one trying to win.
"I've never seen it so tight. If you can get two wins in a row it can take you a long way. We know that it's really tight and everyone wants to save their heads. We have to show that we are more determined than the rest.
"It doesn't matter what other teams are doing. If you don't win it doesn't matter about anyone else. If you win, maybe you can look at the table and the results but you have to make sure you do your own part of the job."
"We are ready to fight, that's it."
