Sunderland appear set to miss out on Derry City defender Ken Oman.
The Journal says the 25-year-old has had trials at the Academy of Light and with Stoke City but would reportedly prefer a club closer to his Dublin home. He is expected to join St Patrick's Athletic or Drogheda United for next summer's League of Ireland campaign.
