Olympique Marseille are eyeing Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho.
Sakho has been told by Reds boss Jurgen Klopp to leave the club in January.
And Marseille are the latest suitor to come forward following their takeover by American billionaire Frank McCourt.
Alexandre Jacquin, of La Provence, is backing the move, saying: "Sakho? On a sporting level, he is obviously interesting. He is struggling in his club, he does not play, so he will have to leave.
"If a player like Sakho comes to OM, it will be a strong sign. Now, can it can be done? I do not know... If there are players of that calibre who can strengthen OM it is a very good sign."
