West Bromwich Albion defender Jonas Olsson says they deserved their point against Manchester City.

Olsson says Roy Hodgson's men fully deserved their first clean sheet in ten games.

"We're very pleased with a point and our performance," Olsson told the WBA website. "I think we deserved a point, especially on the back of our second half.

"It was a great point against a very good team. It's a challenge being up against the world-class strikers they have in the team and on the bench, and I think it was a very good clean sheet.

"Balotelli is a very good player and he's been in good shape lately. We knew it was going to be hard but fair play to, not only the back-four, but Ben as well.

"And as a team I think we defended like a unit from Peter and Shane up front to the back.

"I think we've been defending quite well lately."
