West Bromwich Albion defender Jonas Olsson insists that the club is not yet safe and will continue to work hard until they are.
The Baggies went on a run of seven matches without loss to move to mid-table before Saturday's 3-1 loss to Chelsea which put them six points clear of the drop zone.
Olsson is aware that the West Midlands club is not safe from relegation just yet and has pointed out the need for more points.
"Everyone in this country who follows football knows that 39 points might not be enough this year," the Swede told the Express and Star.
"So we will try to kick on until we're hopefully on safe ground.
"Whether that's 40 or 45 points I don't really care, we just need to make sure we keep the distance, which is six points now.
"We don't want to go into the last few games with the knife on our throats so we will definitely keep being humble enough to make sure we get some more points."
