DC United caretaker coach Ben Olsen will not be considered for the job permanently according to club president Kevin Payne.
Former midfielder Olsen took over at the Washington outfit when Curt Onalfo was sacked in August and did a decent job guiding the lowly club through the remainder of the 2010 season.
But Payne confirmed that Olsen will not be a name considered to take the job full-time just yet but was confident that the 33-year old would one day step into the role.
"I don't think he is ready," Payne told the Washington Post. "It's been a great learning experience for Ben and I am sure he will learn a great deal over the next couple of years.
"I fully expect Ben will be our head coach someday."
