Oldham Athletic have signed teenage striker David Williams.

The 17-year-old, released by Manchester United towards the end of last season, is currently injured after damaging knee cartilage while on trial at Boundary Park.

Williams, working his way back to full fitness after hurting his knee in the warm-up before a Latics' trial match, has put pen to paper on his first professional contract.
