Paul Scholes has been interviewed by Oldham Athletic for their vacant manager's position.

The Manchester United great and current caretaker manager Richie Wellens are the leading candidates for the job.

Scholes is a frequent visitor to the League One club and he lives in close proximity to Boundary Park.

His only experience in management comes from a short stint as caretaker manager of non-league club Salford City, which he owns along with former United teammates Gary and Phil Neville, Ryan Giggs and Nicky Butt.
