Oldham chief executive Alan Hardy has assured boss Paul Dickov that any money raised through player sales will made available for squad strengthening. Highly-rated midfielder Dale Stephens spent the final few games of the campaign on loan at Southampton and helped them to win automatic promotion to the Championship.
But Hardy told the Oldham Chronicle: "Dale is under contract and is our player.
"As we have already said, any non-budgeted income we can generate would go towards helping the manager for next season."
