Oldham Athletic boss Paul Dickov is delighted with their deal for Manchester United goalkeeper Liam Jacob.
The 17-year-old Australian has been released by United and the Latics have moved for the stopper having seen him at close hand during a trial spell at Boundary Park last season.
Dickov told the club's official website: "He comes highly recommended by Eric Steele (United's goalkeeping coach) and probably would have got another deal but for the 'keepers ahead of him at Old Trafford.
"Liam impressed us with both his ability and attitude last season and we are looking at two, three, maybe four years down the line."
