Manchester United ace Anthony Martial has won the club's Goal of the Season award for his solo goal in his debut against Liverpool at Old Trafford.

The 20-year-old claims that the atmosphere at Old Trafford made the goal, which helped the Red Devils to a 3-1 win against their bitter rivals, even more special for him.

He said: "It was a fantastic atmosphere on the day and thankfully the manager had confidence in me to put me on.

"The guys really backed me up and it's thanks to them that I was able to score.

"Scoring goals earlier in the season certainly helped me to settle in and I had the support of the staff and the players which really helped too. I want to score more next season, that's normal."
