Okon to gather important coaching experience with juniors

Newly appointed Gold Coast United coach Paul Okon will guide a national U18 team in an Olympic festival in January. The appointment will give the former Socceroo invaluable coaching experience for when he steps into the hot seat in the A-League next season. The Australian Youth Olympic Festival consists of 24 nations competing in 10 sports in an Olympic environment and the U18 team is seen as a stepping stone towards London 2012.
