Okocha "would love" Hull stay

Veteran Nigerian playmaker Jay-Jay Okocha is keen to secure a new contract with Premier League newcomers Hull City.

The former Bolton star was considering hanging up his boots at the end of the season, but the lure of a top-flight swansong is giving him second thoughts.

Okocha made 18 league appearances for the Tigers last term, with eight of those outings coming from the bench, but failed to score a single goal.

And Okocha has told boss Phil Brown that he would be more than happy to extend his stint at the KC Stadium.

He told the Daily Express: "I would love to still be part of this as there's a lot still to do.

"If they want me, I'd gladly stay."
