Leicester City signing Shinji Okazaki is eager to get through the sacking of Nigel Pearson.
It is no secret that Pearson is a huge admirer of the Japanese striker and he undoubtedly had a big hand in the club's recent £7million purchase from German club Mainz.
Okazaki admitted that the presence of Pearson was one of the main reasons why he joined Leicester, suggesting the manager's shock departure could prove to be a cause for concern for the Japanese international.
Despite abrupt Pearson's departure though, Okazaki is remaining optimistic and has stated that he is looking to 'work though the situation'.
The 29-year old the Japan Times: "There have been some changes to the squad and I don't know what will happen with regards to the manager. But I think I can become a better player if I find a way to work through the situation.
"You're judged on results in Europe. I want to play in the first game of the season (at home to Sunderland)."
