Okazaki goal senses excites Leicester boss Ranieri

Claudio Ranieri has revealed his excitement by Shinji Okazaki's goalscoring instincts.

The Japan international managed his first goal for the Foxes since his move from German club Mainz by finding the net against Birmingham City in a 3-2 friendly victory recently.

Okazaki showed great awareness to score a diving header for Leicester's winner and manager Ranieri has been left very impressed with the 29-year-old's nose for goals.

"It is important to feel good and, for strikers, goals are very important," said Ranieri.

"He played very well when he came on. He was very impressive.

"It was amazing, he took the ball, he played between the line, he played as a striker. And he smells the goal in the box, which is important for us."
