Tottenham midfielder Jamie O'Hara admits Giovani dos Santos has made as good an impression off the pitch as he has on it in preseason.

"Gio is a great lad," he said. "He is a fantastic player and has bonded well with us. He's a happy-go-lucky lad and a great character to have in the squad. And he's always smiling."

Dos Santos turned in a goal scoring performance in Sunday's victory over Borussia Dortmund and added: "Ronaldinho is an example for every young player.

"When he developed himself, when he had to look in the mirror, he stayed himself. Yes, I was very happy with the goal. Every game I try to be better and play better with the team."
