Ognenovski leads Seongnam Ilhwa to Asian Champions League final

Former Adelaide United defender Sasa Ognenovski has helped guide K-League club Seongnam Ilhwa to the Asian Champions League final.

The Pegasus went into the second leg against Saudi giants Al Shabab with a one-goal deficit following the 4-3 first leg in Riyadh and managed to salute with a 1 -0 victory at home, allowing them to go through on away goals after the semi-final was tied 4-4 overall.

Cho Dong-geon hit the only goal of the match on the half-hour mark to set up the win and out Seongnam into the final for the first time since 2004.

The second semi-final, between Saudi Arabia's Al Hilal and Iran's Zobahan will be played tonight. Zobahan lead 1-0 after the first leg in Esfahan.
