Sean O'Driscoll is set to be named new manager of Bristol City.

The former Nottingham Forest manager, who turned down an approach from Barnsley because he felt the job was not right for him, was ready to take on the challenge of succeeding Michael Appleton at Blackpool.

But a late sales pitch from Bristol City bosses has steered him towards Ashton Gate in a shock development that should be confirmed in the next day, says the Daily Mail.
