Stoke City forward Peter Odemwingie has been ruled out of the upcoming league game with Tottenham.
Potters manager Mark Hughes confirmed in his pre-match conference that the 34-year-old striker is set for a two-week spell on the sidelines after sustaining a hamstring injury in training.
"Unfortunately Peter has got a hamstring strain and is likely to miss the next couple of weeks," said Hughes.
"It's disappointing for him because he has worked tremendously hard throughout pre-season."
The Nigeria international managed only seven appearances for the Potters last season after suffering knee ligament damage in the 1-0 triumph over Manchester City last August.
Odemwingie came off the bench for the final 12 minutes of Sunday's 1-0 home defeat to Liverpool.
