Shane Long is confident that the West Bromwich Albion strike partnership with Peter Odemwingie will soon fire.
The duo have endured a stop-start beginning to the season because of various injuries to both but now they are back on deck, Long can see the on-field relationship begin to flourish.
"Peter is obviously a very good striker and he knows what he's doing. I think I learn a lot off him. I think it will blossom in time, but there are more options there for the manager if not.
"It's not been too good up to now but we just need time to understand each other's runs and I think it will blossom in due course.
"I obviously watched him on TV scoring a goal every second week last season. He's able to cut it at this level.
"I set myself the standards to get to his level and show that I can cut it too. He's been unlucky with injury and so have I.
"But, hopefully, over the next few weeks we'll get a good partnership going together.""We haven't played too many games together yet. It takes a while to get it going," he told Express & Star.
