Odemwingie convinced of big things at West Brom

West Bromwich Albion striker Peter Odemwingie is convinced of great things this season.

Odemwingie revealed that head coach Steve Clarke was unhappy with some of what he saw during Saturday’s 2-1 victory over Norwich. But, ahead of a trip to QPR, he says the Black Country club could be on the cusp of an historic campaign.

"West Brom are on a mission," Odemwingie said. "We have started so well and maybe this could turn out to be a very great season.

"I’m in good form and if I score goals and bring points, then I’ll be very happy at the end of the season. It’s also a plus that I can continue to be here.

"It was a difficult one for me, had I been called into the camp. My son is due to be born on January 11. I would have had to go, come back and then go again."
