West Bromwich Albion striker Peter Odemwingie has completed his move to Cardiff City. The 32-year-old was granted a work permit by the Home Office earlier on Monday which paved the way for the transfer to go through.
His agent Robert Segal admitted Odemwingie had no option but to leave The Hawthorns and confirmed he is looking forward to a fresh challenge in the Welsh capital.
"Everybody would realise there was no future for him at West Brom, so this is a new start," said Segal.
"He is very happy and very ambitious and they (Cardiff) have a great manager in Malky Mackay and when they spoke today, Peter became even more enthusiastic."
