Stoke City coach Mark O'Connor says they're pleased with their summer market work.
In total, the Potters spent around £20m on 10 players, with Danny Higginbotham, Tom Soares and Michael Tonge signing on deadline day on 1 September.
O'Connor told BBC Radio Stoke: "You want to make your squad stronger.
"Getting Danny back is a bonus, the other two were players that we looked at while we were in the Championship. They're good additions."
Despite a big overhaul of playing staff in the summer, O'Connor has not ruled out more new faces arriving in the January transfer window.
"By the time January comes around, hopefully we'll have another two or three new players," he said.
