Newcastle United winger Gabriel Obertan is happy to fight for his place.

With healthy competition within manager Alan Pardew's squad, Obertan knows that the manager can change things should he feel the need, with Sylvain Marveaux, Dan Gosling and Danny Guthrie all options out wide.

But Obertan told the Evening Chronicle: "I love the challenge here.

"There are a lot of good players and we have to keep fighting for our place."
