“And it’s not just the young players.
“It’s also a chance to give game time to all the members of the squad who haven’t been involved in league games. Alan has taken a lot from Sir Alex in the way he manages people.
“Man management is not easy but he’s good at it.
“When players aren’t playing well he builds their confidence back up.”
