Gabriel Obertan will make his much-anticipated debut for Manchester United in Tuesday night's Carling Cup clash with Barnsley.
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson confirmed the former Bordeaux winger will make his first appearance for his new club after gaining fitness in the reserves following a spin injury.
"He will play tomorrow against Barnsley, it is a good start for him," Ferguson said yesterday.
20-year old Obertan signed a four-year deal with United in July and the club has enormous wraps on him.
