Promising Australian winger Tommy Oar scored his first Dutch Eredivisie goal for FC Utrecht on the weekend. The 19-year old Young Socceroos star produced a Man of the Match performance in his third starting appearance for the new season as Utrecht defeated Roda JC 3-1 at the Stadion Galgenwaard.

Oar lashed home from just inside the box on the stroke of half-time to level for his side who fell behind when Roda's Mads Junker netted in the 38th minute.

Rodney Sneijder and Jacob Mulenga added to Oar's debut goal to help give Utrecht their first win of the campaign.

Oar's Australian teammates Adam Sarota and Michael Zullo played no part in the match as they were unused subs.
