Sunderland defender John O'Shea says the pressure is on in forthcoming games against fellow strugglers Wolves and Blackburn. The Wearsiders have now lost six of their 13 Premier League games this season and sit 16th in the table.
O'Shea told BBC Newcastle: "The next game is hugely difficult. We're in the middle of it. We have to deal with it and get on with it.
"We wish the next game was straight away to get it out of our system."
He added: "We'll be looking forward to it and we have to. We have to learn from it as quickly as possible."
Home form has been poor this term, with three defeats, three draws and just one victory at the Stadium of Light.
"The attendances we're getting, the fans coming to support us, we know especially at home we haven't had as many wins as we'd have liked," the Republic of Ireland international said.
"It's something we've got to change because if you want to say in the Premier League home form is supposed to be key."
