O'Shea targeting help for Fletcher at Sunderland

John O'Shea believes Sunderland will soon produce consistency in the Premier League.

The Black Cats have had a consistent start to the campaign in terms of results with five draws from seven outings but according to O'Shea, their output could improve dramatically, especially now that some key players are starting to come back into the line-up and the summer signings are starting to gel.

Steven Fletcher, who joined from Wolves during the transfer window, has netted five of Sunderland's six goals so far and O'Shea is of the belief that attacking help will come for him soon.

"We have to try to find some other ways either of getting them (other forwards) into the game a little bit more. That's very obvious, what we have to try to do," he said.

"When you are a confidence player and you are trying a few things and they don't come off for you, it takes a really strong character to go and try to do that again the next time around.

"But I have got confidence in the players and I feel we are capable of doing that."
