Stoke City midfielder Steven N'Zonzi is full of praise for stand-in skipper Glenn Whelan.
Whelan got the nod to stand in for the suspended Ryan Shawcross for victory over Fulham.
"He's played very well this season, but even last season I liked to play alongside Glenn," N'Zonzi told The Sentinel.
"He was the captain for the day and he showed courage, like he always does, as well as being good on the ball. That's a great combination.
"People might think he does my dirty work, but he works harder than everybody else in midfield. That's good for us."
