Stoke City star Steven N'Zonzi is delighted that the club want to extend his stay at the Britannia Stadium.
Frenchman N'Zonzi has played a starring role in Stoke's solid season and due to his impressive performances, club Chairman Peter Coates had expressed his desire to extend the midfielder's contract beyond 2016.
N'Zonzi is understandably delighted to hear that he is wanted at the club and revealed that he is really enjoying life in Staffordshire.
"It's nice to hear. It shows I'm doing good work, but I want to focus on this season because I really hope we are going to finish in a good position," he told the Stoke Sentinel.
"It's a shame we lost our last three games and I hope we are going to win the next one at West Ham. I'm enjoying this season, but the most important thing is for the team. I really hope we are going to finish 10th, ninth or eighth. That would be great. For myself, I'm enjoying it and I hope I'm going to keep going.
"Coaches have told me throughout my career to try to take more control of games and that's what I'm trying to do. I feel like I've been playing a long time now. I guess the experience helps and I am more mature. I try to improve with every game. It's not easy, but I try my best and it has been good this season."
