Aston Villa winger Charles N'Zogbia feels attack is the best form of defence for the strugglers.
N'Zogbia feels Villa should now focus on being an attacking force to stop their slump.
The midfielder said: "When I first met the manager, it made me happy that he wanted to go forward and play attacking football.
"He wants to let everybody play and show what they can do.
"The players now have a mentality - in the training as well as the matches - of going forward, not just waiting for the ball to be there.
"Everybody knows what to do. As long as we are going forward with the ball, I think it is better for us and for the fans to watch."
The 26-year-old Frenchman added: "For me, the best form of defence is to attack."
