NZ striker Fallon urges Aberdeen to improve

Rory Fallon hopes he and his Aberdeen teammates can pick themselves up next season and push up the Scottish Premier League table.

The Dons sit ninth with one match remaining but New Zealand striker Fallon feels that is nowhere near good enough and is hoping for a swift improvement next season.

"If we have another season like this one we'll all be disappointed," he said.

"There have been quite a few seasons that have led up to this and a repeat won't be good enough.

"We've got to turn it on next season and get the right mould of player in. We want our young boys pushing the players - because there are a few good ones coming through - and we want the experienced players to lead.

"Hopefully we can get the right ingredients together to at least get into the top six.

"There's no doubt that a team like Aberdeen should be in the top six."
