NZ skipper Nelsen could get first Tottenham start this weekend

Ryan Nelsen is in line for his first Tottenham start in the FA Cup this weekend.

The 34-year old New Zealand national team captain made his Spurs debut with a late cameo in the 5-0 Premier League win over Newcastle United last week and is now likely to start when the North Londoners had to League OneStevenage for the fifth round of the famous cup competition.

"The lads have said Ryan Nelsen has trained great this week," manager Harry Redknapp said.

"I have always been a big fan of his. He is a great competitor. He is a player I'd like to get a game in to."
