NYRB targeting reinforcements says GM Soler

New York Red Bulls general manager Erik Soler admits the club are searching for some reinforcements for the team.

With a long list of injuries to key players, the Red Bulls need more depth in their playing roster and Soler is keen to bring in a number of medium-priced players rather than opting for an expensive Designated Player.

"We're looking at any addition that can really help us," said Soler.

"I assume (Juan Agudelo) will be picked for the national team, and the last time he came back injured. We'll see if Thierry Henry if this (hamstring injury) is a one-off for him.

"We'll also look at the defensive part, and even with the brilliant work of the young kids if we need maybe another powerhouse. We'll see how (Wilman) Conde is doing.

"The window opens at the end of June; until then we'll see how the team develops short term and maybe longer-term. We might do something short term because we clearly need to do it and maybe something different longer-term because it might be need that in the future."
