NYRB star Henry not bothered by recent hard-tackling in MLS

New York Red Bulls striker Thierry Henry says recent injuries to star players in Major League Soccer is simply part and parcel of the game.

In recent weeks, Seattle Sounders winger Steve Zakuani and Real Salt Lake striker Javier Morales have sustained broken legs because of poor challenges but former Arsenal star Henry felt that these were merely accidents and not intentional acts.

He also said that heavy challenges are a part of the game and is of the firm belief that nobody goes into a tackle thinking he wants to hurt somebody.

"Oh, I played in England, so. . .'' the French international said from Montreal on Tuesday. ''You don't think about getting injured.

"I don't think anyone goes into a challenge to hurt someone. Anyone can lose their mind for a split second, but you don't want to hurt someone.

"I saw the ones on Zakuani and Morales - it is what it is. You don't want to see that in the game but it happens. It didn't make me think bad
