German goalkeeper Frank Rost has signed with MLS club New York Red Bulls.
The 38-year old has joined the Red Bulls as a free agent after his contract with Hamburg expired at the end of last season and could be available this weekend if his visa comes through in time.
Rost spent 18 years in the German Bundesliga, amassing over 420 appearances with Werder Bremen, Schalke and Hamburg but will now ply his trade in North America's MLS, providing competition for Greg Sutton and Bouna Coundoul at Red Bull Arena.
NYRB sporting director Erik Soler was delighted to welcome four-time capped Germany international to the club.
"We are delighted that Frank has decided to support us in the middle of our campaign," he said.
