Bradley Wright-Phillips has been named the MLS Player of the Week for Week 8 of the 2014 season.
The 29-year old striker scored a hat-trick for the New York Red Bulls in Wednesday night's 4-0 win over Houston Dynamo before netting the leveller in the weekend's 1-1 draw with Columbus Crew.
Former Manchester City, Southampton and Charlton Athletic forward Wright-Phillips scored in the 12th, 24th and 86th minutes of the Dynamo win and was able to level in the 66th minute in the Crew draw.
He has now scored five goals in eight MLS outings this season which has helped the Red Bulls to fourth spot on the Eastern Conference table.
