NYRB's Solli set to return after calf injury

Jan Gunnar Solli has passed a fitness test ahead of New York Red Bulls' trip to meet LA Galaxy on the weekend.

The Norwegian winger missed last weekend's 1-0 win over New England Revolution with a calf problem but he says he will be back in action when the Galaxy come to town on Saturday.

"It's been training two days now and felt good. Today was the time to get back into playing, and it felt good, so I'm ready to travel," said Solli.

"I feel 100 percent. It's up to the coach how much he wants to use me. If I step out there, it's no breaks, 100 percent.

"I think it was a wise decision to skip the New England game, especially when we got away with a win.

"The last two days of training have been good to me, today I didn't feel anything. I have a few bruises here and there; that's how you know you're fit and ready to go."
