Thierry Henry believes Mike Petke can do a great job with New York Red Bull despite his inexperience in coaching.
The 37-year old is preparing for his debut season as a head coach and despite having some critics, Henry feels he can become successful in the role, just like his former Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola did.
"Some asked me the question is he not too young, inexperienced. To get experience you have to start somewhere," said Henry.
"I'm not going to compare Mike to Pep Guardiola, but when Pep took control in 2008-09, after only one year with the reserves, they said "Why don't we get the big name? The guy won six trophies in one year.
"You have to start (somewhere)."
