NYRB's Petke to give game time to new recruits Espindola, Juninho

Mike Petke suggests he will play offseason signings Fabian Espindola and Juninho in Thursday's friendly with Swedish club Malmo.

The pair did not feature in the New York Red Bulls pre-season opener earlier this week but will certainly get minutes in the next outing.

"They both participated (in training)," the Red Bulls head coach said.

"Espindola has been practicing every day, and Juninho got a quality session yesterday and today. Unless something changes I'm looking at both of them to play minutes and contribute.

"Juninho's raring to go. He had a quality session today, went full-on, and unless something changes I expect him to play tomorrow."

Both players joined the Red Bulls late last year with 27-year old Argentine striker Espindola joining from Real Salt Lake whilst 38-year old Brazilian midfielder Juninho arrived at the Red Bull Arena from Vasco da Gama.
