New York Red Bulls attacking midfielder Dwayne De Rosario says he is keen to play for Canada at this year's CONCACAF Gold Cup.
The 32-year old former Toronto FC star's presence at the tournament had been questioned by Red Bulls coach Hans Backe but the player himself has made it clear that he is looking forward to helping Canada in their quest for success against the likes of the USA, Panama and Guadeloupe.
"I 100 per cent want to play for Canada," De Rosario told MLSsoccer.
"I would definitely like to play for my country this summer."
Red Bulls coach Backe said that De Rosario would not be competing in the Gold Cup but clearly these comments indicate that the 56-time capped midfielder certainly wants to.
