New York Red Bull general manager Erik Soler has completely ruled out making a move for Michael Ballack.

The former Germany international and Chelsea midfielder is set to depart Bayer Leverkusen this summer with plenty of reports linking him with a move to MLS.

But one club who will not go for Ballack is New York with Soler making it clear that there is no spot for him at Red Bull Arena.

"No, Ballack is not a player for us," said Soler.
