New York Red Bull has not appointed Gary McAllister as its new head coach despite conflicting reports.
It has been suggested that the former Leeds United, Leicester City and Liverpool midfielder had signed a deal with the Red Bulls with an official announcement to be made on Thursday.
But the New York Times reports that a MLS source has told them that ex-Coventry City, Leeds and Aston Villa (caretaker) manager McAllister has not yet joined New York as Hans Backe's replacement.
