New York Red Bull duo Thierry Henry and Rafael Marquez have pushed David Beckham from the top of the MLS top-earners list.
The LA Galaxy star has topped the list for the past few years but a recent release by the MLS Players Union shows that former Arsenal striker Henry and Mexican defender/midfielder Marquez have now surpassed Beckham.
Henry is the highest base earner in MLS with a $5million salary and a guaranteed compensation of $5.6m whilst Marquez comes in second with earnings of $4.6m.
Beckham has been bumped down to third on £4m with his Galaxy teammates Robbie Keane and Landon Donovan next on $3.3m and $2.4m guaranteed.
