NYRB hoping to bring in fourth homegrown player

New York Red Bulls have recruited their established stars and now they are looking toward the future by bringing in youngsters.

This week they made a third homegrown player signing with University of Maryland midfielder Matt Kassel joining the senior ranks and now they are hoping to add USA U20 defender Sacir Hot.

Red Bulls sporting director Erik Soler said that Hot was a player they would love to have developing in a first team environment and has confirmed they are in talks regarding a professional contract.

"We like Sacir. We think he's a good talent," said Soler. "We have been in touch with both the kid and his representative, and we hope that we can do something with him in the shorter or the long term. We'll see. But we are hopeful to be a part of his developing going forward."
