20-year old Brazilian-born Austrian midfielder Rafhael Domingues, commonly known as Rafinha, is on the verge of joining New York Red Bull.
The former Austria U18 international suggested on Twitter that he was set to join and although it has not yet been confirmed, Red Bulls head coach Mike Petke hinted that he had been thoroughly impressed by Rafinha's pre-season trial.
"Rafhael is an exciting left-sided player, likes to go up and down, had some very good games in Brazil that we watched, and he's on a day-to-day," Petke said.
"We're keeping him along because we like what we see; but we have to make a decision soon obviously.
"(He) gives us an option with him on the left side if he keeps going the way he's going. He's done some good things. It could be a situation we keep him."
