Major League Soccer expansion franchise New York City FC are working alongside Manchester City's massive network of scouts in order to put together a competitive playing roster.
The 20th MLS outfit, co-owned by Premier League club City and Major League Baseball's Yankees, will begin play in 2015 and will be taking a very strong squad into their debut campaign according to head coach Jason Kreis.
"We have an international scouting department and we've been working with those guys very hard," he told Sports Illustrated.
"I've been watching a lot of videos over the past month or so of players they've been recommending that they've brought out.
"And so we're moving forward on all those decisions and are hopeful that we can make some of those come this summer. But I think more realistically probably most of those decisions will be made in the winter."
