Nurnberg's Vidosic eyes World Cup spot

Young Australian forward Dario Vidosic is using his good recent form to potentially grab a spot in the Socceroos' World Cup squad.

The 22-year old is in great form with German club FC Nurnberg and hopes to have a crack at the Socceroos squad, especially after Pim Verbeek sent his assistant Henk Duut to watch him action.

"Pim was very impressed with me and he's always asking how I'm going and it's all very good," said Vidosic.

"If I get that chance to go along with the Socceroos it would just be the perfect end to a very good season which hopefully we can top it off with going to the Bundesliga as well.

"It's just good to get the chance and get the start and to score the goals, as well to be in the end the winning goals, I couldn't ask for better.

"The whole first season I really didn't get that chance to show what I could do and what I could give to the club.

"We've got three more games and if I get a part to play in all those games it would be perfect. Then have a bit of a break and then hopefully get a call-up to the Socceroos and continue on from there," Vidosic added.
